Seeds of Hope Teaching and Community Garden
The Seeds of Hope Teaching & Community Garden exists to provide educational and hands-on gardening opportunities to improve the health and well-being of the community.

We work with the students of Vick Elementary School and with members of the neighborhood to cultivate the school's raised beds and the Communal Garden to provide organically raised vegetables. Workers are able to take home produce and about 10% of the crops raised are donated to places such as Hope Station to provide food for those in need.
Hispanic Ministry
Initiative
SOHW Hispanic Ministry Initiative is composed of several programs and is funded by a grant from the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church-Mission Seed Funds.

In addition to funding from the NC Conference, SOHW also collaborates with St. Therese Catholic Church to provide various programs and functions for the Hispanic Community.

The Promotoras have developed a folk dance group and have designed several periodic events such as the Seeds of Hope Spring Festival which celebrates diversity.
Seeds of Hope
House
Seeds of Hope House is a community center for the neighborhood surrounding Vick Elementary School.
With a couple of classrooms and a kitchen, it serves various groups from the school and from the community.
